George Boole (乔治·布尔)
A self-taught British mathematician and logician, founder of Boolean algebra and author of The Laws of Thought. His work laid the foundations of modern computer science.
Galileo Galilei (伽利略·伽利莱)
Italian scientist and a founding figure of modern physics and observational astronomy. Erwin Schrödinger (埃尔温·薛定谔)
Erwin Schrödinger was an Austrian theoretical physicist and one of the founders of quantum mechanics. In 1926 he formulated the Schrödinger equation, establishing wave mechanics, and later received the 1933 Nobel Prize in Physics. His thought experiment “Schrödinger’s cat” became one of the most famous illustrations in modern science. With wide-ranging interests spanning physics, biology, and philosophy, his book *What Is Life?* had a lasting influence well beyond physics.
Ernest Rutherford (欧内斯特·卢瑟福)
Ernest Rutherford was a New Zealand–born physicist, widely regarded as the father of nuclear physics. He proposed the nuclear model of the atom and received the 1908 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, laying foundations for modern atomic science.
