After aging, the next stage is the physical death.

"Death" is relatively easy to understand; it generally implies meanings such as death, being stubborn, inflexibility, inability to adapt, stagnation, conclusion, downfall, rigid thinking, following a path to the end without deviation, lack of opportunity, unprosperous, lifelessness, lack of vitality, rigidity, clumsiness, inability to think things through, narrow-mindedness, no retreat, silence, tranquility, and fear.

In the context of the twelve phases of growth and storage in the star positions, "death" refers to the process of personality and career, regardless of whether this process is successful or unsuccessful. (This is different from the concept of physical death.) Generally speaking, a Bazi chart with the "death" phase indicates a person who is outwardly gentle but inwardly strong. If not afflicted by punishment or clash, such individuals tend to be prudent in their actions; they belong to the category of people who are persistent in their endeavors; they get along well with others outside. Female charts with two or more illness branches often indicate poor marriage prospects; especially for women born on Yi Hai (乙亥) or Geng Zi (庚子) days, family and marriage are particularly unfavorable. Those whose destiny sits in the "death" phase are mostly skilled or knowledgeable in certain arts.
