Function​

De Xiu Gui Ren (德秀贵人) is an auspicious Shen Sha (神煞) representing individuals with substantial inner qualities and outstanding talents. It has the ability to neutralize malevolent forces, avert disasters, and turn misfortune into blessings. Those with this influence are usually intelligent, gentle, and amiable, possessing virtues of supporting and educating their families. They often receive help from benefactors in both career and family. De Xiu Gui Ren can resolve life's difficulties and crises, bringing good fortune, intelligence, and stable support from benefactors to the individual.

Method of Identification​

De Xiu Gui Ren is identified by checking the Heavenly Stems (天干) according to the monthly order, as follows:

  • In the months of Yin (寅), Wu (午), and Xu (戌), Bing (丙) and Ding (丁) are De (德), Wu (戊) and Gui (癸) are Xiu (秀);
  • In the months of Shen (申), Zi (子), and Chen (辰), Ren (壬), Gui (癸), Wu (戊), and Ji (己) are De (德), Bing (丙), Xin (辛), Jia (甲), and Ji (己) are Xiu (秀);
  • In the months of Si (巳), You (酉), and Chou (丑), Geng (庚) and Xin (辛) are De (德), Yi (乙) and Geng (庚) are Xiu (秀);
  • In the months of Hai (亥), Mao (卯), and Wei (未), Jia (甲) and Yi (乙) are De (德), Ding (丁) and Ren (壬) are Xiu (秀).

There is a saying about De Xiu Gui Ren: "De (德) is the deity that neutralizes malevolent forces with yin and yang; Xiu (秀) is the pure and elegant energy of heaven and earth, the deity thriving in all seasons." The ancients believed that De Xiu Gui Ren not only represents a benefactor star but also encompasses literary talent and refined temperament, with the function of harmonizing yin and yang and resolving disasters. Women with De Xiu Gui Ren are usually kind, gentle, and cultured, receiving help from benefactors throughout their lives; men, on the other hand, are intelligent, gentle, and successful in literary pursuits, always receiving assistance from benefactors to turn danger into safety, often working in public service sectors like law enforcement and judiciary.
