Xue Ren (血刃)
Function
Xue Ren (血刃) is one of the deities and spirits in Bazi (八字), primarily indicating bloodshed disasters, meaning the person is prone to accidental injuries or bleeding events. Those with Xue Ren in their life chart are particularly susceptible to injuries from knives or swords, accidents, surgeries, or hospitalizations. If the person's Bazi is strong and encounters Xue Ren, they may suffer physical harm due to accidents; if weak, they may experience bleeding due to illness or surgery. Therefore, individuals with Xue Ren in their chart need to pay special attention to their health and avoid contact with sharp objects. However, if Qi Sha (七杀) and Xue Ren appear together, they can balance the Five Elements, meaning "Sha" can suppress "Ren," leading to the saying, "Qi Sha rides Xue Ren, martial nobility is extraordinary."
Method of Checking
The method of checking Xue Ren is based on the month branch to examine the four pillars' stems and branches, as follows:
- Yin month Chou
- Mao month Wei
- Chen month Yin
- Si month Shen
- Wu month Mao
- Wei month You
- Shen month Chen
- You month Xu
- Xu month Si
- Hai month Hai
- Zi month Wu
- Chou month Zi
Related Anecdotes
As a star with ominous implications, Xue Ren is traditionally believed to preside over bloodshed disasters, often symbolizing unexpected injuries or illnesses. If Xue Ren appears in the same pillar as Yang Ren (羊刃), Yi Ma (驿马), or other ominous stars, the risk of accidents and bleeding increases for the individual. Although Xue Ren is a malevolent star, its harmful effects can be mitigated with the help of benefactors (such as Tian Yue De Gui Ren or the protection of Zheng Yin), thus avoiding disaster.
